"We gather to empower people to live like Jesus, so that every place will look like His place."
That probably sounds similar to every other church's mission, vision, or purpose statement. The distinction is found when you consider the statement as shaped by Our System and the way we've adopted a relational or attachment-based discipleship culture. We use specific skills and practices to inform the way we connect with one another, grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ, and then reconcile the world around us to God's desire and design.
Authentic attachment to God fuels a fierce love for others. We draw integrity and freedom from the Father’s presence. And we are present with others, honoring their unfolding stories and voices. His joy recycles through our relational attachments and we stay committed, returning to the table of Christ’s community, no matter what. His way of life matures and synchronizes us with the Holy Spirit, and leads us down a path to true and transformational revival.
Love Fiercely
We love with courage and commitment.
We are not afraid of people’s messes.
We fight to stay at relational tables.
Be Present
Just like Our Father, we share our true selves.
Immanuel's presence is real and life-changing.
We are present with God, ourselves, and others.
Live Free
We destroy the enemy's dark shackles.
We have compassion on those bound.
We are a free people, who free people.
Be Whole
We are true and unfractured.
We align with our born-again identity
We are whole, in Christ, and in process.
Value Others
We are radical attention-payers.
We see, affirm, & celebrate God's image-bearers.
We honor Whose they are, over what they do.
Go All In
We are generous, resilient, and persevering.
We're not lone wolves or rogue warriors.
We’re committed KING’s kids and we’re Family.
Celebrate Life
We weep and mourn and yet, have joy.
We celebrate for the joy of what can’t be taken.
We, like Christ, embrace the joy set before us.
Change the World
We are not afraid or disgusted by darkness.
We do not shake our heads in despair.
We’re here to bring life and change the world.
It is a privilege to know, love, and follow the GREAT I AM - aka: Creator of the Universe, God Almighty, Matchless King, Mighty Warrior, Wonderful Counselor, Prince of Peace, Lord of All, Everlasting Father, Son of Man, Holy Spirit, Faithful Friend, and on and on. What a joy to explore and develop this inexhaustible relationship over a lifetime!
It is a privilege to have access to the voice of God. We engage in daily conversation with Immanuel, which is subject to, informed by, and understood through the authoritative, anchoring wisdom of the Bible. His words are food, drink, air, and riches, and we hold to them with reverence, humility, and passion.
Christ's sacrifice provides new life. Life in, of, and with God. Being "born-again" is a supernatural, adoptive experience, making us part of The Divine Family. He is Father and we are true siblings, lovingly attached to God and one another. We have been called out of darkness into the marvelous light of Heaven's Kingdom. While our earthly cultures have many precious assets to offer, we claim the culture of Heaven as the one from which we draw our primary and shared identity.
There are too many glorious, important truths to name on a website. We believe we should be loved where we are, even if that isn't where we should stay. We believe in the manifold, manifest, miraculous power of God. Changed lives. Holiness. Grace. A journey mindset. That peace, and pace, and sabbath are sacred. That people are more important than ideas. That ideas are really important. That there are some dark, ugly things in the world rubbing right up against breathtaking beauty and goodness. That every voice matters. That every one of us is called to make a difference in the world. And that it is an honor to explore and engage these (and more) infinitely complex things together.
